No guests in this episode. It’s just Joe (Klein) and I talking about the Kennedys, DeepMind, EV chargers and not that much about Trump.
If you want to skip that part, it goes something like this: I’m dismissive of the “Stormy Daniels trial” and certain it is helping Trump. Joe calls the prosecution of the case a “stretch,” but is (much) less certain about the trial’s political impact.

Programming Note: Joe is in Greece this week. On Thursday, I’ll be solo-interviewing Cade Metz, technology correspondent for The New York Times and author of ‘Genius Makers: The Mavericks Who Brought AI to Google, Facebook, and the World’. It’s a terrific book and Mr. Metz’s coverage of the AI revolution for The New York Times continues to be must reading.
One of the people we’ll talk about is Geoff Hinton, who Metz profiled in this piece for Wired magazine. Mr. Hinton is often referred to as “the godfather of artificial intelligence”.
We’ll post Episode #23 on Sunday. One hopes.
