The Democrats had a very good Convention. There’s no denying that. What the impact will be — in the near term and for the remaining 70 days until the election — is uncertain. What is certain is that the Convention didn’t hurt the Democratic Party’s chances this fall. “Do no harm” is one of the best practices of presidential politics.
